Gingerbread houses are such a cute decor for the holiday season, but unfortunately they can be expensive! So, I decided to create my own template to for a DIY gingerbread house display! - Gingerbread House: 7 inch height
- Small Gingerbread House: 7 inch height
- Tall Gingerbread House: 10 inch height
- Stand: 2.5 inch height
Once the files are added to Design Space, you can ungroup each SVG, to select an individual layer. Each house has 4 layers, that you can change the color and size of. For the stand, change the group of cut lines to score lines and attach to the stand shapes. Then you are ready to cut.
How to Assemble Layered Gingerbread House
Organize your project by each gingerbread house, stack them together facing the correct way. Each house will have 2 pieces for the stand in the back.
Start with one house and apply foam tape to the back of the top 3 layers and stack them on top of each other, with brown being the bottom layer, glitter white, then tan and on top the glitter white outline. It helps to cut your foam tape into tiny strips using a blade. For full instructions please watch my video tutorial below.
One you have all 4 layers stacked together, add the stand pieces to the back using craft glue, making sure not to cover up any windows. Repeat the process for all 3 gingerbread houses.
Now you have a beautiful display of gingerbread houses for Christmas! Hurry and make them today! See how easy they are to make by watch my video tutorial below! Let me know what you think of my new Gingerbread House display bundle in the comments!
