Hey there, crafty friends! With the season of giving just around the corner, I’ve designed a cozy new cut file: a Happy Thanksgiving Money Sleeve — perfect for slipping in a little extra help for someone’s holiday meal, or just sharing a monetary surprise for family and friends.

Supplies for Your Thanksgiving Money Sleeve
To get started you’ll need:
- A cutting machine (like a Cricut)
- Standard-grip mat
- Cardstock in rich fall tones (think burnt orange, deep red, golden yellow) and maybe even a glitter or foil accent for a little sparkle
- Strong glue (I love Bearly Art Glue for this kind of layering)
- Scoring stylus or tool
- My free Thanksgiving Money Sleeve SVG (download link at the bottom of post!)
Design Space Instructions
Once you’ve grabbed the SVG file, upload it to your cutting machine’s design software. The size should come in around 7.4″ width, if it is not this size, please resize. Ungroup the elements, then change the two sets of dashed lines to “score” lines while leaving the half-circle tab as a cut line.
You can switch up colors or layer styles however you like — maybe a gold “Give Thanks” script over a rustic kraft-paper background, or autumn leaves in vinyl on the front. When it’s ready, hit Make It!
Assemble the Sleeve
First, cut your pieces out of cardstock and/or vinyl. Once cut, glue the text to the front of your sleeve, inside the offset.
Next, fold along all the score lines. Apply glue to the three tabs on the back panel, attach the front piece so the opening flap with the half-circle tab is on the side, and hold it down with a few clips or something heavy while the glue dries.
Once dry, it’s ready to fill! Slide in a little cash, a gift card, or a heartfelt note — it’s the perfect way to help someone enjoy a festive meal, share some gratitude, and spread a bit of joy.
Why This Project is Perfect for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving isn’t just about turkey and pie (though I sure love both). It’s a moment to pause, think of others, and give in a meaningful way. A money sleeve is simple, but it carries the sentiment: “I’m thinking of you, and I’d love to help make your holiday brighter.”
Use it for:
- A neighbor who’s had a tough year
- Your kid’s teacher as a “thanks for everything”
- A young adult or teen as a fun, budget-friendly gift with a personalized twist
- A family member hosting dinner (they might appreciate a little extra fuel for the feast!)
