Haunted House Pumpkin Free SVG
Download and Prepare the SVG File:
The download includes two subfolders: one for the layered pumpkin and another for the stand. Unzip the file and upload the SVG to your Cricut Design Space. If the SVG file appears as an HTML document, don’t worry; it’s still the correct file.
Ensure the layered pumpkin SVG is sized to 8″ x 10.5″, which fits perfectly on your 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock. The stand SVG should be 4.5″ x 6.5″.
Customize Your Design:
Ungroup the layers in Cricut Design Space to customize the colors to your liking. You can create a traditional Halloween look with oranges, purples, and blacks, or opt for something unique, like a pink pumpkin. For the Stand SVG, turn the cut lines into score lines and attach the layers together.
Cutting the Layers:
Clean your Cricut mat using a scraper to remove any debris. This ensures a smooth cut and prevents your cardstock from tearing.
Use blue painter’s tape to secure your cardstock to the mat, especially if the mat is worn or dull. This helps prevent shifting during the cutting process.
Select the correct material settings (Light Cardstock – 65 lb or Cardstock Plus for the Explorer) and load your scoring stylus for the layers requiring scoring. Cut each layer one by one, cleaning the mat and securing the cardstock between cuts.
Assembling the Layers:
Start by stacking the cut layers in order. A PNG guide is included in the download to help you reference the correct order. Or you can reference it here, see image below.
Begin with the two bottom layers, adding foam squares around the edges and within the pumpkin’s moon cutouts. This adds dimension and depth to your design.
For the yellow haunted house layer, add the fairy string lights. Fold the string lights in half, twist them, and secure them with packing tape on the back of the yellow cardstock. Leave some slack at the bottom for the battery pack to be tape to the back of the pumpkin.
Continue layering, ensuring the foam squares are placed strategically to avoid gaps. Pay attention to the ghost layer, ensuring the ghosts are aligned correctly.
For the final pumpkin outline, cut foam squares in half for a precise fit and attach the top layer.
Adding the Stand and Final Touches:
Attach the battery pack to the back of the pumpkin using foam tape.
For the stand, fold along the score lines and glue the tabs to the back of the pumpkin. The stand can be folded inward or outward, depending on your preference for display.
Turn on the fairy lights, and your stunning layered pumpkin is ready to light up your Halloween festivities!
This beautiful, layered pumpkin display will be the highlight of your Halloween decorations. i have signed up but it wont let me downloaad the file
Hello, I sent you an email to help you download. 🙂
Gina,
These are adorable! While I’m not sure I’m on board with the whole pink Halloween stuff going around, I do love the more traditional colors. I showed this to my 6 year old grandson (who is often my inspiration for projects) & he said, “Nene, we HAVE to make that today!!” That day wasn’t possible due to school & timing but we made a date for Labor Day & will be creating this adorable (yet a “little scary” per Bobby) pumpkin design which Bobby has already declared will then be hung on the front door of “my house so everyone gets scared when they come to the door.” (LOL!) Thank you again for creating such a wonderful design for us to enjoy!
Please help me with a file for Silhouette studio! When I convert it, the file comes out in the shape of a square, not a pumpkin!
Please email me at contact@ginaccreates.com, I’m not a silhouette user but I can help you the best I can. If you can send me a picture of the issue that will be great.
Absolutely adorable. Thank you so much for sharing!
First of all, thank you so much for sharing. It’s so adorable! I just bought all the stuff to make it. Am I able to download the files to my phone?
