Supplies for Paper Pencil Box

• Cricut machine
• Light Grip Mat or dull Standard Grip Mat
• Scoring Stylus
• Cardstock 65lb 8.5×11, pencil colors I used are yellow, black, pink, ivory and holographic
• Acetate sheet
• Bearly Art Craft Glue
• Cricut Tools
• Optional: Ribbon, Twine, and shredded paper

Design Space Instructions

Unzip the download and extract all file to same location. Next, open up Cricut Design Space and upload the SVG file type.

Make sure the overall SVG size is 20×9.5 inches. Next, ungroup the SVG and select each layer to change the colors if desired.

For the top and bottom box template, change the basic cut lines to scores then attach to the box shape underneath.

Save your project, and now you are ready to cut. I cut all my layers in Cardstock+. Be sure to load the scoring stylus in the A-clap before you cut.

Assemble Pencil Gift Box

After you have all the pencil box layers cut out, we can begin to assemble the gift box.

Bottom of Paper Pencil Box

Start with the bottom of the box, this will be the shape with the window. Fold over all the score line using a straight edge.

Use Bearly Art glue and apply it to the small tabs and fold it over to make a box. Make sure to hold the glue in place until it dries.

Add the insert lining to the inside of the box. This piece is totally optional.

Window Lid to Paper Pencil Box

Now, we can move on the to the pencil box lid. After you fold over all the score lines, glue down the acetate piece to the inside of the lid.

Apply glue to all the tabs and hold down until each tab is dry.

Lastly, add the pencil decorations to the top of the lid, using more glue.

Repeat all step to make more than one, in multiple colors! I love how these cute pencil boxes came out! Keep scrolling to download the free pencil box template.
