Welcome everyone, today I’m going to show you how to make this fun paper Easter basket filled with Easter eggs and a chocolate bunny! I absolutely love how this Cricut project came out, and I know you will too! And so will kids! This Cricut Easter basket has moving parts and you can remove the Easter eggs and chocolate bunny! My daughter sat there playing with with basket for awhile, then she carried it around the house like a purse!
This Cricut Easter basket has a flat back so you can easily mount it to a frame. Simply resize it to fit your frame surface in Cricut Design Space.
Here are a few supplies you will need:
You will not regret starting this project! It is easier then it looks. It only took me 15 minutes to cut out all the shapes using 12 mats and a total of 11 colors. Please reference the image above for all the colors I used. I have 4 shades of brown, 1 green, 2 blues, 3 purples and 1 pink color. The basket itself is 6 layers only including the grass. The bow and 3 Easter goodies (that go inside the basket) are 2 layers each.
After you download my Easter basket SVG file, you will need to unzip the folder and extract all the files. Next, open up Cricut Design Space and upload the SVG file type for layers. Make sure the SVG uploaded the correct size, as Design Space can glitch and import it the wrong size.
I sized my basket to use a full 8.5x11in cardstock, so the height of the basket should upload as 10.5 inches. However you can resize your basket to your own preference. I cut all my cardstock on CARDSTOCK+ and used foam tape to layer the Easter basket together. I use craft glue for my Easter eggs and chocolate bunny SVG designs. But afterwards, I wish I used foam tape or tape runner for a unwrinkled look. CHECK OUT MY VIDEO TUTORIAL BELOW FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS!
Can’t wait to see how creative you get with this! Try it out using different colors, metallic cardstock, or glitter cardstock! Make sure to share your project in my Facebook group or tag me on my Instagram!
