Christmas Paper Craft, Santa’s Reindeers Mandala Free SVG & Tutorial

Welcome back crafters, today I’m going to show you how to make this interactive Holiday 3D Paper Mandala! It will make such a fun treat this holiday season! Watch Santa and his reindeers fly over the neighborhood.
This SVG design was a bit of a challenge to design, but I found it quite easy to cut and assemble! This design is perfect for DIY Christmas decorations! Or give it away as a gift, just add it to a 12×12 frame to make a wall décor display!
The Mandala is sized at 11inches and is about 9 layers.
Here is a list of supplies you will need to get started:
- Cricut Machine
- Four 12×12 Cardstock (ivory, 2 glitter white and plain white)
- Four 8.5×11 Cardstock (glitter silver, ivory, light brown, chrome gold)
- Foam tape or foam square tabs
- Craft Glue
- Plastic Straw
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun/sticks
I have color coded the SVG Cut File, so whatever color the layer is in Design Space, then that is the color Cardstock I did. For glitter white and the plain white, I did the plain white a very light gray in design space which is for the back piece of Santa and the reindeers. Please make sure to use a heavy cardstock for this piece because it will make the turning handle more sturdy. There are 2 options if you do not have 110lb 12×12 cardstock for this;
Option one: cut 2 or 3 layers of the Santa back piece and glue them together to make it more thick.
or
Option two: add a wooden skewer to the back of the Santa back piece of the turning handle. See image below.
Both of these option will make your handle more sturdy to turn. I failed to mention this in my video!
Once you have each layer cut out, we can now begin to assemble!

Help, when i click the download button, i get Santa-Flying not the snowflake?
Thats the correct file Name. It will include all the layers including the snowflakes.

Thanks, I’m still learning myself, might venture that way in the future. I can tell you how I make them… I draw each layer on my ipad using procreate, it has a cool mandala feature. then I convert it to a SVG by sending to my computer using Adobe Illustrator.
