I was inspired to make these spooky eyeball Paper Flowers when I saw a small fake flower bouquet at the Dollar Tree! I thought to myself how cool will these look on a much larger scale for a Halloween party! I just need to find something that would substitute for a giant eyeball! And right there at Dollar Tree was a large white Christmas ornament, that I can use.
I also found pin pong eyeballs in a 12 pack, so I decided to create a paper flower template for those as well.
How to make Paper Flowers for Crafting
You can make paper flowers many different ways. Most popular is to create them out of cardstock or crepe paper using dies, printable templates or a cutting machine. In my tutorial, I will show you how to create paper flowers (Halloween edition), with cardstock and a Cricut. Check out all my Paper Flower Templates here!

How to make a Giant Eyeball
In my tutorial video below you can see a step by step video on how I create this gaint eyeball, but here are some basic steps.
I used a white plastic ornament from the dollar tree, that is 3.75 inches and the perfect size for my 17 inch paper flower.
Take off the ornament metal attachment, and paint a green circle on the opposite side. Add red squiggle lines around the green circle. Let it dry completely and trace the green circle with a black marker. Lastly, add a black smaller circle to the middle.

How to Assemble a Paper Flower Template
Once you have all the pieces cut out, we can begin to distress the petals and leaves for a Halloween look!
Use a ink pad and a foam brush to dab on the die to the top of the petals and around each leaf.
Curl the top of the petals inward with a round dowel.
Use scissors to cut a slit in the bottom of the petals.
Apply hot glue to adhere the petals to the circle base.
Add the eyeball to the center of the paper flower with more hot glue.
Repeat the process for all the paper flowers. Make sure to watch my video tutorial, to see step-by-step instructions.
