DIY Pumpkin Sunflower Key Chain
DIY Pumpkin Sunflower Key Chain
Welcome everyone! Fall season means fall crafts, and what better to make a key chain for yourself or friend! It’s even a great idea for a fall product if you are a small business who sell at craft fairs! So whatever the case, this cute Sunflower Pumpkin key chain will make a great item!

I was inspired to create a little something myself! I resized it and shaped it to match one of Zindee’s blank which are made from acrylic. I went with the 3 inch pumpkin for my key chain, and I couldn’t be more happier with how it turned out!
So let’s get started so you can make yours today! Here are a list of supplies you will need:
- Cricut Explore Air or (any cutting machine)
- Pumpkin acrylic blank (3in with hole)
- Sunflower Pumpkin SVG (re-sized for blank, this is important)
- 651 adhesive vinyl (gold, orange, brown)
- glitter
- Mod Podge (glossy)
- foam brush (I used makeup wedge)
- transfer tape
- key ring and chain ( sliver or gold)
Although its not a must, the list below will give it added protection and glamour with a few extra steps. Optional list:
First thing I do is apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to my pumpkin blank, then sprinkle on the glitter. I wait about 20 to 30 mins and do a second coat. then seal with the last layer of Mod Podge.
While my glitter is drying, I cut my design. This is my hand-drawn Sunflower Pumpkin SVG design which was resized it to fit perfectly on Zindee’s Pumpkin key chain blank, no need to resize or alter to fit. (My free svg version will not fit).
Make sure to grab the correct file here!
Next, I layer my SVG design before I apply it to my blank.
Carefully line up the decal to your blank and apply pressure.
You can add your key chain hardware at this stage, but I recommend apply resin to both sides for added protection.
I used Art Resin from Zindee’s but you can also find it on Amazon. It will need 24 hours to cure, so make sure when you apply the resin, your blank is on a cookie sheet or surface that it can sit for a day. Please watch video below to see how I applied my resin.
How to apply resin:
(Resin Tip: Art Resin tends to make alot of tiny bubbles, use a BBQ lighter to lift out bubbles).
