Setup Beer Mug SVG in Design Space
You can download my free Beer Mug SVG at the end of this post. It will be a zipped folder, you will need to unzip the folder and extract all files. This will create a open folder.
Next, upload the SVG file type to Cricut Design Space and save it to your library. If you are having a hard time locating the SVG file type, please read through my FAQ Help page.
After, add the SVG to your canvas, make sure the overall size is 7.87×10.46 inches. You may need to resize.
Now, you can ungroup and select the gray insert with the 2 half circles, and click attach.
Next, on the bottom left gray shape, there are 2 basic cut lines, select that layer amd change it to score lines in the operations menu. Then attach the score lines to the gray shape underneath.
If you don’t want to change the colors, then it’s ready to click make it!
Cut Out Beer Mug Cardstock
Cut out all the cardstock on CARDSTOCK+ if you are using 65lb cardstock. For any specialty paper, make sure to cut on the appropriate settings. Make sure to load your scoring stylus for the score lines.
Here is a view of all your cardstock layers cut out. You will need some foam tape and craft glue to assemble.
Assemble Beer Mug Gift Card Holder
Start with the front and back covers of the gift card. Fold down the score lines and apply glue to the taps. Apply glue to the very bottom of the mug as well. Then layer the top cover on top. Keep it flat and let dry.
Next, assemble the 2 layers of the yellow cardstock with foam tape.
On the back of the yellow layer, apply glue and attach to the front and back of the gift card base.
Place it directly in the center of the mug.
Next, layer the beer foam bubbles with some foam tape. Make sure to have them facing the correct way before you assemble. You should have 2 that are mirrored.
Take the layered beer foam bubbles and attach them to the top of the gift card insert using more foam tape. Make sure to match the shape to the correct side for the front and back of the insert.
To attach the gift card, make sure to insert it in to the top flap first, that is under the bubbles. Then, slip through the bottom flap.
Next, insert it in to the beer mug base, making sure the foam bubbles are on the outside of the mug.

Thank you! 🙂
Thank you for this beer mug gift card holder. Hubby’s b-day is tomorrow and our son got him a gift card for his favorite bar! LOL so…..i whipped this up in a couple hours. Only problem I had was the foam tape on the beer foam. The tape was too far down on the bottom of the foam and prevented it from sliding all the way into the mug. I used an exacto knife and sliced the foam out. works good now. HE IS GONNA LOVE THIS. thank you again! I love your designs!!!
